NOTE: The "middle section of the Current River" is serviced by various outfitters from both the Current River and the Jacks Fork (for those trips extending pass Two Rivers). The upper Current River outfitters can only send canoes into the middle current if they are on a multiple day trip and vice versa for the Jacks Fork outfitters. One day trips are noted on each respective outfitters site, so check their website or call them first before making your trip.    You also have the option to do a shuttle if you have your own watercraft.  

ADMIN TIPS:   1)  In regards to the upper Current River, for convenience, try to rent from the outfitter where you will take out at.   That way your vehicle is right there by the river waiting and you won't have to catch a bus back up.   The exception to this are those outfitters that are not right on the river (Jadwin, Silver Arrow and Running River).   2) Jadwin is the best outfitter to use if you are floating Baptist to Cedar Grove on the far upper Current River.  They are not right on the river, but they are the closest to Cedar Grove of the bunch.  3)  If you don't like big crowds, then avoid floating on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day on the Current River or Jacks Fork.   The Eleven Point River is less traveled, so it is not as busy on the weekends compared to the upper Current River and Jacks Fork.   The days of the week with the least amount of floaters are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  See why here.    4)  Most outfitters require a reservation if you are renting from them on Friday-Sunday.  5)  If you do not like motorboats, then try to stay ABOVE Round Spring on the upper Current River or above Alley Spring on the Jacks Fork or above the Narrows (hwy 142) on the Eleven Point.   Otherwise motor boats may annoy you.  See ONSR horsepower limits here and Eleven Point horsepower limits here.
