• MILE MARKER 61.0* Blue Spring Gravel Bar - Popular with the locals, this is a large, public primitive gravel bar along the Current River operated by the MDC within the ONSR (not Park Service) that is free to camp at.   It is located on the opposite side of the river from Blue Spring.   This is not considered a normal campground.  First come first serve gravel bar camping large enough for vehicles and RVs.    No hook ups.   It is normally crowded and LOUD with generators and music all night long, and kids and people that like to party (also known as the Party Bar).  It is located about a mile or two below the hwy 106 bridge and across the river from where Blue Spring flows into the Current River.   Go west on hwy 106, cross the bridge and turn left onto county Rd 533. It’ll spit you out at the gravel bar.   Another way to get there is from Eminence, take route 106 west approximately 11 miles. At top of hill before crossing current river, turn right on old 106. At the bottom of hill turn right on gravel road. Follow the road down river to the river. The road ends at gravel bar.   If you want to access via the water, then it is about a 6 hour (1 day) float from Two Rivers on the right.

•  MILE MARKER 61.0* The Rock House - About 10 miles from Owls Bend / Powder Mill / Blue Spring on the middle Current River. Jerad Tucker and Jennifer Chilton offer for rent the historic Rock House which is the nestled within the rolling wooded hills and vast pastures of their rural family farm. Perfect for your next peaceful, scenic getaway. The Rock House offers breathtaking countryside views and the privacy of our 450 acre cattle farm.    UPDATE:  They also have a wedding venue here.

• MILE MARKER 104.8* Bay Nothing (NO WEBSITE) - Current River access and boat landing on the Mark Twain National Forest. Located on the east side of Current River. Access from State Highway 21 to "O" Highway to Forest Service Road 3140. 

• MILE MARKER 105.2* Gooseneck (NO WEBSITE) - Primitive camping sites, picnic areas, boat access. Accessed by Forest roads 4139 and 3142 (hilly, gravel roads) is on banks of the Current River. Also called Hawes Campground. Operated by the NPS. This is the end of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways on the Current River. **NOTE**  The NPS started charging camping fees April 15th, 2004 at Gooseneck Campground and some other backcountry campsites. The fee starting in 2022, $10.00 per night for each site, is possible because of a law passed by the U.S. Congress allowing national parks to keep 80% of fees collected and invest it in the services you enjoy. Stays are limited to 14 days, with a maximum of 6 people, 2 tents and 2 vehicles per site.

• MILE MARKER 119.3* Deer Leap - Mark Twain National Forest campground and boat landing located on the east side of Current River about 6 river miles upstream from the U.S. 160 bridge over Current River. It is located off of Highway "Y" approximately 4.5 miles north of Highway 160. There is a parking lot and restroom at the boat landing. Fee charged. 

• MILE MARKER 120.3* Float Camp - ELECTRIC SITES FOR RVers Mark Twain National Forest campground, picnic area, pavilion, and swimming area located on the east side of Current River about 5 river miles upstream from the U.S. 160 bridge over Current River. It is located off of Highway "Y" approximately 4 miles north of Highway 160. No boat ramp. Camping and day use fee charged. Make reservations here. Also, KC's on the Current is the Commissionaire for the camp sites at Float Camp. 

• MILE MARKER 120.3* Dunrovin (No Website) - Mark Twain National Forest picnic area, boat ramp, and river access located on the west side of Current River about 4 river miles upstream from the U.S. 160 bridge over Current River. Access from Highway 160 2.5 miles west of the bridge over Current River to County Road 160 W 7. Take CR 160 W 7 one-half mile to Forest Service road on the right which goes about 1 mile to the site. No fee.

• MILE MARKER 121.0* Romantic Wooded Treehouse Oasis -  Welcome to our newly constructed Ozark treehouse that sits on 3 tranquil acres nestled in a holler less than a quarter mile from Mark Twain National Forest. NOTE: For those floaters/campers who wish to truly experience the wild, Backcountry (primitive) camping is permitted by the NPS on gravel bars along the river at no charge. Please keep a clean camp and bury human waste at least 100 feet from the river. Collect only down and dead wood for campfires. This is TOTAL SECLUSION from the real world, for that no houses can be built along or near any part of the river within this protected Wild & Scenic River. Take higher ground in the case of a heavy rain due to flash flooding.
