- Harvey's Canoe-Kayak-Tube Rental - Near Alley Spring Campground
Eminence, MO 1-888-96-FLOAT 573-226-3386 ***THIS IS THE BEST OUTFITTER TO USE IF TAKING OUT AT ALLEY SPRING OR FLOATING THE FAR UPPER JACKS FORK. LOCATED A HALF MILE FROM THE RIVER. ***
ADMIN NOTE: If you float the Jacks Fork (float schedule) from the section 2 miles above Eminence down to the middle & lower Current River, then you will occasionally experience motorboats up to 60 horsepower down near Van Buren on the lower Current River. If you don't want to experience those, then you will want to stay above Alley Spring on the Jacks Fork or above Round Spring on the upper Current River (map). You can also view boat horsepower limits here. FURTHER NOTES: Above Alley Spring on the Jacks Fork can be too low to float in the summer months due to a lack of rain, but Bay Creek to Alley Spring is usually doable (with some occasional dragging). Also, Alley Spring to Eminence is the busiest 6 mile section on all of the rivers, so if you don't like crowds avoid it on the weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Lastly, Eminence to Two Rivers is slower and better for little kids in regards to stretches on the Jacks Fork.

ADMIN TIPS: 1) If you don't like big crowds, then avoid floating on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day on the Current River or Jacks Fork. The Eleven Point River is less traveled, so it is not as busy on the weekends compared to the upper Current River and Jacks Fork. The days of the week with the least amount of floaters are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 2) Most outfitters require a reservation if you are renting from them on Friday-Sunday. 3) If you do not like motorboats, then try to stay ABOVE Round Spring on the upper Current River or above Alley Spring on the Jacks Fork or above the Narrows (hwy 142) on the Eleven Point. Otherwise motor boats may annoy you. See ONSR horsepower limits here and Eleven Point horsepower limits here.
